What to expect when you attend an American Dance Awards National Championship.

American Dance Awards takes pride in producing one of the largest International Dance Championships in North America. To attend, you must qualify in a regional event by receiving a Silver Medal standing or higher. Once you commit to attend our National Championships, you will be placed on 1 of two or sometimes three teams. Each team will have their own panel of 3 scoring judges and one special awards judge. Your school will then compete all week against other schools on your team to ultimately get into the danceoff. Each respective team will have their own set of high score awards. The danceoff consist of a 12 & under and 13 & over age division. The top 5 scoring solo, duo/trio, small group, large group, class, extended and production entries from each team compete against each other In the danceoff. The danceoff is judged by a separate panel of 5 judges. These judges have not seen any routines involved in the danceoff. The high and low scores are dropped to determine the overall winners. Cash Awards are given to the winners in each division 1st - 3rd place.

The Gold Family Award is awarded to the overall highest scoring entry in the 12 & under danceoff. $5000.00

The regional title winners are invited to compete at our National Championships against all Title winners from the USA and Canada in their respected age divisions. The competition is incredible and gets better every year as these talented dancers compete from across the United States and Canada. The title competition is adjudicated by a 5 judge panel and the high and low scores are dropped. The title contestants will have an opening number, a video interview, adjudicated classes and an amazing talent competition.
